I will try the demo of chrome tommorrow. I remember that game ran terrible on my 9800 Pro

Yes its a tough one, some outdoor levels still bring my X800Pro to its knees

Chrome had always had more performance problems on Radeons than on GeForces. My guess is it will run just fine on the 6800 (indoor as also outdoor).

Chaser is a DX8.1 game and runs already flawlessly in high resolutions with AA on 5900U cards so it can only run better on the 6800U. I think I played through it with 1280x960 and 4xAA/8xAF with smooth framerates on my 5950U.

Great game btw, somewhat underrated.

Interesting, thanks for the info. I found this information below to be very interesting (I hate it when Flash sites don't allow for copy/paste of text  )

56K Warning!!!!

1600x1200 2xAA/4xAF
Demo graphics maxed out (some options only limited me to "normal")
Runs about 3x as fast as my 9800 Pro did. Also, 30fps seems pretty playable in this game, where in FarCry for some reason 30fps doesnt seem as playable...

Thanx man, looks like the woods are still a bit tough even on a gf6800U.

I think 30 FPS is playable as long as it is consistent. I can play Far Cry at 1600x1200 with 4xAA/16xAF on my X800XT and there are parts like the battle on top of the Carrier where my minimum frame rates drop into the low 30s, but never below that. If I got occasional drops into the low 20s or teens then I would probably say it was unplayable.

those shots look decidedly worse than what ut2k4 has to offer... just look @ the water  it's almost like ut2k4 has better water and other environmental effects..

can you confirm jakup?

I would agree with you. Its the game engine tho. UT2k4 is a much better looking game then that one regardless of what card is used

Thanx man, looks like the woods are still a bit tough even on a gf6800U.

Those trees would be cleared up a bit if the game was run with Nvidia's 8x AA (2xOGSS/4xRGMS) mode. Game might overall look better at like 1024x768 with 8xAA than 1600x1200 with 4x AA (MS) due to all the foliage
