Well...I had to spend a fast $500, to pay off some debts, and I can't afford to pre-order or even consider buying the latest generation of cards. However, I still have enough money to maybe buy a high end from last years lineup.

Any suggestions?
Should I go with Nvidia, or suddenly switch to ATi.

Realize, of course, that right now, I'm on a GF4 MX, and I think almost anything would be better.

Or is this the wrong forum to post it on?

And also, I found this sweet deal. A Sapphire ATi 9800 Pro 128 MB for $166 on NewEgg. Is that a good deal? I'm sure at least one, if not all of you guys have seen it.
Note: I am using the word "guy" in a generalized sense. Of course I am not inferring that everyone on this board is a guy.
Note #2: I think my first note was absolutely worthless.

Looks like an excellent deal, make sure its not a 128bit 9800 Pro.

Ok,sorry. The video card I mentioned got sold out or was removed. Didn't act quick enough.

You might want to wait until the midrange cards for this generation come out or at least until prices fall further for last gen.

I'd go with 9800 if you decide on getting a last gen part.

Still though, the 9800 for $150 is still a great price. Its only marginally slower than a 9800 Pro.

Yeah, I wanted to do a full upgrade this year, but it looks like its out of the question as of now.
