I found something interesting when I ran Scisoft Sandra last night - it shows that my BGF 5900XT OC is actually a Chaintech card! Anyone seen the same thing? Makes me wonder if this reading is valid!

Yes, it is a valid reading. BFG outsources card production overseas, but their engineers have control over what components go into their cards.

Where did you see Chaintech because because with my msi 5900xt it just says nvidia geforce fx5900 xt?

If you launch the program , and then select PCI, AGP CardBus Bus(es) Information, click the dropdown under adapter and select AGP... See the attachment for shot of the window.

My BFG card doesn't display that in Sisoft sandra. Just lists the OEM DEVICE as Nvidia Corp Geforce FX 5900[nv35.1]

Thanks, my 5900xt says msi there which is what it should be! :)
