Line in - how to run?

Hi there!

I've Abit NF7-S rev 2.0 MoBo with SoundStorm (nForce2 & MCP-T) and I can't run Line-in. I've setted all controls in alsamixer to full position and still nothing.

How to run Line-in? Google doesn't know the answer. Like me.

Kernel is 2.6.7-rc1; snd-intel8x0 compiled into kernel.

Have you unmutted the channels?
Notice that in alsamixer has little MM on top of volume bars to unmute type ¨M¨.
The bar on the left is unmuted the one on the right is muted.

yes, I've done it. All controls are unmutted but some of them are on 0 position but I can't change it - pressing up arrow does nothing.

amixer set Line 100 unmute

I plugged walkman to Line-in and still silence :(

Yes. I can't move "Line-in As Surround" Control. Only "Line" control is moving but it does nothing. Silence when Line is 0, silence when Line is 100.

try this, it works for me but i have shuttle mobo
