looking at the nV News nforce2 preview, it seems that turning on FSAA on a GF4(4xS mode) will blur the text a little bit in Warcraft3. http://www.nvnews.net/reviews/nforce2/page_5.shtml#warcraft3
does the R9700Pro also exhibit this behavior in WC3 when running with FSAA? if i remember correctly, ATI said their MSAA should offer superior quality compared to GF4, although that might have been more market speak than fact. discounting gamma correct FSAA, of course.

I play WC3 with default settings of 2xFSAA and 16x Aniso, and dont see blurred text.
4xS is a supersample/multisample AA combimation, which is probably why it's slightly blurring the text.
The 9700 will not blur the text because it uses straight multisample AA. Nvidia's 2x and 4x AA modes also should not blur the text.

Radeon 9700 doesn't blurr text , blurring is only on Nvidia cards but you can fix it if you add high aniso to it except for qunixun.... its blurrs no mater what :(
try 2x AA and 2x aniso or higher

R9700 Pro has EXCELLENT FSAA, and AF. You can't lose with it. I've not had a problem out of it yet! I love it!
