hi i am having some problems with my 6800u :(

first my specs
Tagan 480w PSU
Asus P4C800-E
P4 3.0 @ 3.75Ghz (overclock Stable been running fine before 6800u)
1GB Corsair XMS3200XL
4x Harddrives
3x Optical Drives
Sound Blaster Augidy

The main problem i am having is hard locking in games Farcry, CoD, GCII, (oddly UT2004 is the only game not to crash it)
when it hard locks the screen is filled with 1 texture repeating itself across the screen

i am using the 61.34 & 61.45 drivers
i had a 5900 before and i removed the drivers correctly before installing
do you think it is a hardware fault or maybe i need a reformat
or maybe the 6800u is not getting enough power
i have both molex’s installed and the card is not overclocked

thanks for any help

Try the 61.21 drivers. They seem to resolve some of the 6800U issues similar to what you describe...

Der...even a 480 watt sounds kinda low for your setup, thats soaking up ALOT of power. 21+ on the +12 rail is the minimum i would go on that system for a PSU. Its either that or heat

Der... What kind of retarded statement is that.

Granted a system with thoughs specs does eat a lot of power but other 6800u users are having the same problem. Since all of there problems where driver issues im sure this is also.
