Although they are designed to work with PowerVR Series5 they should work with the 6800. You might need 61.71 drivers and dx9.0c to use them however because they are SM3.0!

PowerVR technology examples (http://www.pvrdev.com/pub/PC/eg/index.htm)

I once tried the deferred shading demo with my fx5900xt and it doesn't work, however it does work with ati video cards and my old r9600xt delivered a huge 20fps! ;)

The Deferred shading demo runs about 50 fps at 1024x768.. Doesn't look very interesting though..

It doesn't work even with the 61.71 drivers (I read somewhere that they enable SM3.0 support) and DX9c?

It could be failing to run simply because a surface format isn't available, this is fairly common.

Democoder said this.
