View Full Version : BFG 6800GT OC Real World Results!
I got 10772 in 3dmark03 in driver properties it was set to high quality with 61.21's and my Athlon XP @ 2320mhz with a Chaintech 7njs nforce2 mobo and default speeds on the gt.
I could push my processor higher now, since my geforce3 didn't like 200fsb for some reason! I will also overclock the gt to ultra speeds w00tage!

You call 3DMark03 "Real World Results"?

I think he meant it's a card bought by a regular joe and not a card being reviewed by a website.
Edit: Oh, congrats on the new card Banko.

Update your drivers to 61.34's or higher.
What I mean by real world results is that it's not the fastest cpu or fastest motherboard or anything but what a regular person would get if he just upgraded his video card, right now for some reason my MBR died so I have to restore that lol. I screwed it up somehow, also I haven't formatted so I think those results are pretty good my next ones will I hope break 11,000, and also I'm going to try the 61.34's.

Nice! Cant wait to see what I get with my system.

Ditto. Thanks for the score link. Gives me an idea of what Ill get on my XP2700+ running at 2432MHZ (202FSB). I should be in the 11000+ range.

hey Banko, what's ur temperature read at idle?
can someone put up some box shots of their packaging??
Looks just like the box pictured on the BFG site.
Alright I just overclocked the BFG to ultra speeds 400/1100 hit them without a sweat and I now broke 11000!
My temp of the card right now overclocked is: 56C
The seperate 2D and 3D timeings are still working right ? Thought I read somewhere where they don't..
Nope I had to set them both the same otherwise it wouldn't let me overclock. They aren't working because the 6800 doesn't have seperated 2d and 3d clocks.
That's not very nice, he's trying to help out

Nice...very nice, thats why I had to sell my X800 PRO. The fact that another $399 video card (cheaper can be found) was beating my X800 PRO soundly did not sit very well with me. Considering NVIDIA's line up at the $399 price point (and the performance of those parts), it is only proper for ATI to lower their prices. Nonetheless, I'll stick with the 9700 for another year...sorry to thread crap...
6800GT is a nice piece of hardware.
w00t I got my highest overclock 415/1150 anything higher and 3dmark freezes! I broke 12,000 with an Athlon XP w00t!
Now how do I bench UT2004?

Thats sweet man.
Its also getting me pumped about all the computer components that are on the way to my house, which includes a GT of course.
