i know know what my deal is, but i like the lesser known and less popluar cards as much as i like the mainstreams... i have been reading about the 5200 ultra.. and you know something? its a little trooper.. it kicks the crap out fot the regular 5200 and steps up to the 5600 with an awfuly big fist.. nice. :)

The GeForce FX 5200 ULTRA 128 mb video card is literally in millions of Dell and HP pre-built home computers in North America.

heh, sadly, however, it gets stomped by the 5700LE... I read a recent review pitting the two against eachother, and the 5700LE at stock speeds slightly outperformed the 5200U, ... but then OC the 5700LE, and, um, well, that (and the correspondingly phenomenal perf. increase) was detailed also in the same review.

Well yeah but you can buy a 5200U for $50, try to get a 5700LE for that. If i wasn't such a heavy gamer i'd have a 5200U in my pc in a heartbeat for the money.

where can i get them for that price? I've seen 5200Us on Newegg for $50-$60. Dunno what's on there right now, haven't been looking lately. Needless to say a 5700LE is alot more.

$56 for a 5200U from Newegg and it's current.

That's the cheapest 5700 LE i saw and it was 89.00 and they range up to $151. The 5200U is alot cheaper in comparison.

This card isn't worth the material it's built with.
Got one in my second PC and it overclocks awesome with the following result: IT SUCKS!
Most horrible crap card ever. It's so fu**ing SLOW.

My 5600 was absolutely terrible. Wasnt even anywhere near as fast as the ti 4400 it replaced (rma). BF1942 ran bad at 1024x768 with 4x AF and the texture filtering looked horrible when i had the card. I sold mine for $110 on ebay (it was the 256Mb version) and then bought a 128Mb 9600 Pro for $140. The 9600 could play BF1942 at 1280x960 with 2xAA and 8xAF faster than the 5600 could at 1024x768 (noAA\AF).

Anything slower than the FX5600 Ultra is crap in my book (and im being generous here... ive never seen a 5600 Ultra in action). Id take a Geforce 3 or 4 over a low end FX card any day.

that is true.. whats sad is that tons and tons of people have 5200's. they dont realize that gaming is a whole differnt experience when using a better card.
