You have a choice from the major ones:
IE
netscape
mozilla (stock)
Firefox
opera
I use Firefox....you just can't beat the speed!

Opera. Even though it crashes on me occasionally. I just installed 7.5 last night though and it *seems* a bit more stable, though it's to early to tell for sure yet. They did fix that stupid bookmark sort bug that had plagued the earlier versions. Very happy about that one... I love tabbed browsing and popup blockers. :)
Firefox (with Adblock, SingleWindow, BugMeNot and Sage extensions) ... I was a fan of Safari on Mac until Firefox 0.9 hit the streets ... but now it's Firefox all the way.

Should this be a poll? The question is rather layed out for a poll format.
Anyhow, Mozilla and IE. I use Mozilla more, but have both around for... Well I've run into some sites that seem to hickup on one, and others that seem to hickup on the other...
Mozilla used to have probs with my bank site (and specifically the online banking part) though that seems worked out. A strange twist, one of my colleges registration site (for online signup of classes) wasn't working in IE there, but would in Mozilla.
I use...
PLANETWEB
Hehe, just kidding, I use IE 99% of the time. Though I hate the way that when it can't connect to a server, every time you try to reconnect it'll assume it wouldn't be able to get through and will just give you the error page.
IE... I am just used to the shortcuts and its simple and fast enough
I use mozilla once in a while...

IE, it has always been the fastest and most bug free for me. Toss in Popup Stopper Pro and it's all good.
i rebel against your restrictions, lol.. out of the list i prefer firefox, due to the gecko rendering engine; but i really don't like the browser itself.
i personally prefer a kindof rare browser called galeon. galeon is a browser designed for GNOME, but i use KDE... it's linux only i think, and is very bare bones like.

many people being used to IE see firefox/mozilla as being lightweight, and faster... well, i'm not used to IE, and i don't like the bloated look and feel of firefox, heh.
my second favorite (and would be first favorite if they would just add an option to use the gecko rendering engine) is konqueror. konqueror has some problems rendering pages, but comes with KDE. it is very fast, and excellent light weight. loading a copy in the memory (an option) before you open it makes the response time instant. mouse gestures are the coolest, and i really have a hard time living without them.

Opera and Mozilla, both on Linux and w2k...
IE for "Intranet" apps at work, Firefox for everything else.

Firefox for general browsing.
I still have IE set as the default browser though. In case something pops up (due to an App launching or a link I clicked on in my email) I want to make sure it works. I also tend to use IE for shopping (the checking out part), filling out online application forms and using important internet Apps. If there is no way to back track at least with IE I know it will work (probably). Probably not the most secure way of doing things.

Firefox all the way.
And I had a poll about this a few weeks ago. I think you can still find it.

Kaine did have pollitious, to go along with that hearing loss from watching the Matrix at 120 dB  This question would have been perfect for a poll though :D
IE 6 / SP1 with all the little hotfixes for it. In addition I use AdsGone 2004, and this setup hasnt let me down yet.
I use IE 6 with all the latest patches, and google bar. Download FireFox .9 few weeks ago, installed it, and didnt see any reasons to pick it over IE and nuked it. People say IE is slow and bloated, maybe I just dont know any better, but it seems that IE on my office machine and at home works as fast as I can.

Just moved my personal and work PCs all over to Firefox. I love it!
