EDIT * My computer is an Mobile 2400 @ 223fsb x 11 multiplyer. So its 2453 mhz. Ram is 2-3-2-11

Well I got my new 6800 non ultra today from evga.com. It came with far cry which was a bonus. The first thing I did after I opened the packaging was removed the heatsink and put some artic silver 3 on it. It idles around 62ish C and after some hardcore benching it was at 67 C. Not to bad. I did some benching with aquamark and 3dmark03 and call of duty. My former card was an all in a wonder 9700 non pro with a pro bios that I ran at 306core and 306 = 612 ram ( can go more but held off lately cause i am selling the card to a friend) The aquamark and the 3dmark are both maxed out oc's on my 9700 though which is 400mhz core and 350 ram = 700mhz.(except the 4aa/4af that is with the 306/306. Here are the results (the cards are at the highest performance settings) COD was the basic timedemo1. I chose 4aa/4af cause that is what I used on my 9700.
*edit* for some reason I can not get over 91fps in COD. I couldnt on any card. I think its a limitation. If anyone can tell me how to fixt it I will rebench.!!
------------------------ - 9700 -6800nu
COD 1024X768 noAA/af -- 69 -- 88.1
COD 1024x768 4aa/4af -- 63.5 -- 87.7
COD 1152x864 noaa/af -- 68.9 -- 88.2
COD 1152x864 4aa/4af -- 58.7 -- 86.7
Aquamark 4aa/4af -- 29,941 -- 39,781
Aquamark noaa/noaf -- 43,693 -- 54,002
3dmark03 noaa/noaf -- 6,101 -- 8,662
3dmark03 4aa/4af -- 2,597 -- 4,995

Well the conclusion is it kicks butt! I really like it, but I have a 6800 GT BFG OC on the way from the 299 best buy deal. I cant decide if i should sell the GT and keep this or try and sell this. Either way this card is great! I have not and will not oc till I decide which card I will keep. Anyway, hope this was decent info. Peace

Good stuff. I like the comparisons against this generation of cards to see how much improvement has been made. The question seems to get asked a lot also (how much faster will this new card be than my 5xxx / 9xxx card, etc.).

Thanks for the benches ;)

sell it and keep the GT :D

It has an extra quad processor ie its full 4 quad (16 pipelines) Can only be better :D

you can recoup your $299 for the non ultra

Well I looked for console commands and found that I (must be default) had my limit at 91. Once i changed that I got 145 fps in 1152 x 864 with no aa/af. Then I put 4aa/4af on and i got 127.6. So that sounds pretty good to me! Go 6800! I was also running far cry at 1024x768 with VERY HIGH on everything and HIGH af. but my aa was set at 1. ( those might be backwards) Anyway most of the time it was above 50 but it dipped to 25 a couple times, which I am kinda fine with, but still bothered. Anyway, thats the update!
