Lance is now in second place, just over 5 minutes behind the leader. It looks like he might pull this time, once again!
Another great race in the mountains for Lance, he really is the king of the mountains, as we will see in the Alps also :)
Good to see the little frenchie keep the yellow, he really is giving everything he has to keep it as long as possible, knowing that he wont have it for much longer.
wow now lance is only 22 seconds behind
This is just how crazy fit these guys have to be. As im writing this, im watching the tour live, they are riding on a flat open ride with a 35km/h head wind, and they are doing nothing but attacking lol
For me head winds for a cyclist, is almost as bad as riding up big mountains.

I hate head winds, I'd take a big mountain over head winds any time, but then again I like climbing. :D

Lance's resting heartbeat is around 33bpm. That's an insanely fit person.

Holy amazing finish batman!!! I'm so ticked off as I had to go to school when there was only 10 miles left so I didn't know what happened till I got back and read about it.
The Alps have started off with a bang, it can only get better as the next stage is the mountain ITT.

Tomorrows stage is the stage Ive been waiting for, I think this is going to break a few riders :)

Yeah, that whole stage was crazy. So many fans were getting in the way of riders it's amazing that no one crashed.
At least Lance dominated everyone, that was great!
Same story for thursday...another win. w00t

This tour just keeps getting better. That finish was absolutely spectacular. Even the comentators were certain that Kloden was going to get the stage. What a sprint by Lance. And huge props to Floyd Landis for all the work he did, too bad he didn't get the stage win.
Just had a look at where all the stages are, and none are close to me at all, tho, a having a cousin staying in Paris for 3 months, I may just go visit here for the end of the tour :) I live down south along the cote d'azur, about 60km east of Marseille.
Really Smokey ?
the world is tiny :D you are living in Toulon or something like that .. bandol sanary ?? .... this is where i'm from. I hope you appreciate the place ;)
edit: go go Lance !!

Word is Lance is not going to compete next year.
That "word" is wrong.
Lance has said that he wants to try and win the classics now; the Vuelta A Espana, Giro d'Italia and the individual time trial competitions. In other words, he wants to be World Champion.
But he also commented on the fact that, with a new 3 year sponsorship deal The Discovery Channel they may not agree with that and may instead like for him to compete in the Tour. Both options he is more than happy with.

That's what I was going on. What I get from it is that he'll do whatever Discovery wants him to do.

Which is to say, he's not quitting.
The Tour de France is one big race in a continent and championship full of them. USPS competed in the Vuelta last year with Heras as captain and won The team has showed the type of focus and cohesion necessary to compete outside of the TdF, not to mention the fact that Lance has been criticised for years within the cycling world for not taking a shot at the classics. I think, and so do many other cyclists, that Lance is primed to start again. He's said so much to the press already, and to one member of the club I belong to (Chris Brewer is his personal web master and close friend and the president of my cycling club).
Lance may quit the tour, but he won't quit riding.
