Every year I always have the feeling it'll be a first super bowl year for the vikings.

I have that same hope again this year, then at about week 10-16 reality sets in.....that or when they play a really ****ty team.

Anyone who knows the vikings, knows they're excellent at choking. :lame:

FIRE MIKE TICE, HE'S THE BIGGEST IDIOT FOR A COACH WE'VE EVER HAD.....

Red Mccombs is no picnic either, I suppose him being a used car salesman would have something to do with him threatening to sell and move the team EVERY FRIGGIN YEAR. Die Mccombs!!!!!

If they can get Brock Lesnars head in the game and teach him enough to be a starter then maybe we can go back to having the d-line being the PURPLE PEOPLE EATERS.

Yeah yeah, rant on now nay sayers. I think he can be one of the best honestly. I mean c'mon, the guy works out running up and down flights of steps with a 100lb dumbbell in each hand, he takes x amount of mile runs in the morning with a 185lb log on his shoulder. Not to mention I'm sure he can take a hit and give one better than anyone you can name.

Dream d-line: Lesnar, Hovan, Udeze while in a 3-4 defense would rock!

raiders. better than last year.

picked up some great players. revamped defense. interesting to see how the gannon/collins thing works out. i think moving buchannon to free safety is a better fit for him - hopefully. unfortunate to see timmy brown go, but they really need to let some young speedy recievers step up. never liked the running back by commity deal, which looks to be the route they will take this year. they need a good all around back. (be interesting to see if ricky williams does come to town next year, even if he is his "own" person, it would be a great pick up no doubt)

they have been one of the biggest up and down teams i've ever seen in past years, but when their firing on all cylinders - unstoppable. chances: 50/50

What's the word on him so far from training camp? Is he slated to start, second string? I'm a Purdue grad so I'm excited for him and will try to catch every Raider game that I can.

right now he's 2nd on the depth chart behind ray buchanan. looks like he's a hit amongst his teamates and coaches, and if he shines during pre-season in sure he'll earn a spot. and maybe he can beat out buchanan and start. you never know.... :)

Did anybody just see the UNBELIEVABLE catch that Colts WR Moorehead made against the Chargers? I mean it was one of the craziest catches I've ever seen. He basically tipped an underthrown ball (from backup Sauder) back behind himself...caught it blind behind his back, steadied it, and brought it around in front of him for something like an 80 yard touchdown.

I know, I know, preseason *meh*...but regardless that was one amazing catch. Watch SportsCenter or ESPNEWS tonight

yea dude, that was cool! pre-season or not, he earned a spot on nfl's highlight reel thats for sure.

one hell of an action packed game here too (niners/raiders). raiders look like their old selves - 215 yards in penalties. heh.

Yeah it was, ESPN is still showing it (on NFL Live last night). You can get the helmet images here

Ok, it's not that easy. ;) I resized mine, made it a transparent GIF and made some other tweaks to make sure it looked slick. :) I don't mind making one for you, just let me know what team's helmet you'd like.

Here you go, please save this to your local machine and then upload like you would any avatar. I'll be removing it from this temp directory once you've grabbed it.

Yeah you can never ignore the Packers with Favre around. My friend at work snagged our four tickets for the Colts/Packers game months ago. He's taking a buddy of his that is a huge Packers fan. That should be a great game. :)

I am so pumped about the start of the NFL season and it all starts tonight with my favorite team. (bud)

I could do without all of the junk performances before the game but the hype and attention is cool, almost Superbowl-ish.

I also just found out that myself and three of my good friends and co-workers have scored the tickets for Monday Night Football against the Vikings on November 8! We have season tickets through work but it's not like I get to attend every game...stinking clients get to go too at times. :D

Anyway, I'm pumped! What do any of you chowda-heads think about tonight's game? It looks like it's going to be a wet one...Foxboro has the synthetic turf grass now correct? How does it play in wet weather?

My money is on the Pats, 28-17.

Well you're on track if the Colts don't score again...I doubt that though the way their running on NE. Of course, Dillion busted a big run too so second half should be interesting. :)

Those fumbles sure cost the Colts.

Yeah, Edge seems to have one game each year where he really coughs 'em up. I hope he got it out of his system this early in the season. Vandy shanking that FG didn't help, I could NOT believe he missed that. I was all set for OT.
