I was curious as to the performance on NFSU with all settings enabled? (like motion blur and all) I dont know about nvidia cards but ati cards cant have aa enabled with motion blur and get over 10fps. was curious how the new 6800 performs.

I didn't think you could use those options together. If AA is used, motion blur should be disabled (as well as light trails).

Doesn't motion blur disable FSAA in NFS:U? I have the game. It's so CPU limited on my system.

Here is a screenshot. This is at 1280x1024, 8xS, 16xAF, Opt Tri on, Opt AF off:

FSAA is automatically disabled. I think on Ati cards, there is a performance hit even though it's disabled.

This shot is without blurs or light trails. Same settings above.

Here is a Fraps benchmark log:

yeah with 6x aa 16x af frames never go above 38FPS (seems like its locked that high or something) never goes below 30FPS.

with motion blur on it dips all the way down to 19FPS and occasionally goes down to 5FPS.

this is on a 9800 pro overclocked to 450core, 380mem.

Disable FSAA in your CP on the 9800 pro, then enable the motion blurs and light trails. Seems that on Ati cards, there is still a performance penalty even though those effects disable FSAA.

Hmm that's funny. I played this game with motion blur and light trails on with my 9700 PRO. It ran smooth as hell. Never got even close to such horrible framerates.

i play NFSU at 1024x768 Highest graphics settings possible (except light trails) on my 5900XT and i get around 40-50FPS. My only problem is that when i turn light trails on, the NOS Motion Blur goes all black. I can still see my car and the other cars, but i can't see the road, buildings, sky, etc...
