Please read the manual and you will find that the nvidia drivers are for 2.4 kernels only.
Secondly please use the search engine and you will find the awnser to this question.
Basically you dont need the nvidia drivers just do this as root
modprobe forcedeth
The driver is allready in the kernel.
BTW welcome to nvnews.net

Hi,

does the "forcedeth" driver realy work with the nforce 250 chip? I tested it 2 weeks ago with my 2.6 kernel and it does not work. Is there anybody who can affirm that this driver workes with the network interface of the nforce250?

Regards,
Michael

AFAIK it should work as of kernel 2.6.5 if not you are going to need to patch it.
See here (http://www.nforcershq.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=48890)

Both SATA and gigabit ethernet support for the nf3 250gb exist in
kernel 2.6.7-mm6. This means it will probably be in 2.6.8 when it
gets out. Don't hurry, 2.6.7-mm6 will lock up your USB subsystem.

You are better off using the bk (bit keeper patchset). The mm series patchset is highly experimental in nature.
