sorry for open a new thread but am so happy , after a long waiting , i finaly got it :jumping: , and wiht a full vercion of FarCry, so i dont have to download the game now, op what do i say :kill:

I like the 61.71 drivers.. they work good for me

I have the same card bob...Ive tried the 61.36 and 61.71 drivers and in my case the 61.36 drivers were much much better. Far Cry and UT2004 demo were stuttering for some reason.

For my system in sig below FC best settings are
Everything maxxed out in FC
Medium AA in FC menu
4 for AF in FC menu

Your card can OC to ultra speeds easily also:)
12,500 in 3dmark2k3 for me at ultra speeds

FPS in FC range from 40-80 mostly..with the average around 50 i would say

No, it is 1 DVD copy, we have a bunch of them here at work

EDIT: NM Thats the AMD64's copy, yes its 5 cd's

Yes, if you buy an AMD64 combo, you get a free FarCry DVD... So we have a few of those laying around :)

I believe the guy asking ordered his 6800 from evga which means he will get 5 cds, not a dvd

I wonder if the 61.71 drivers have the Shader Model 3.0 features of the 61.45 driver that I used to test the Far Cry v1.2 patch?

The 61.45 readme shows a date of 06/11/2004, but the files are dated 6/28/2004.

ya it come wiht 5cd of FCry but thas is no a problem for me , hey is free :)

i format my comp and istall new frehs windows , then i will post some bench

From what I understand the 61.71 drivers also include SM 3.0 support... I could be wrong though

I believe they do actually. But the 61.71 drivers are unlikely to be the official drivers supported by Nvidia.

I am counting on 61.45(or drivers from this set) To be the ones Nvidia posts on their website.

You know what, with 61.21 I was getting stuttering in 3dmark03 on the first run through, and I have the same exact mobo/cpu and probably hard drive as you. 61.36 also fixed it for me.
