Just to see how hot My BFG GT got I used the bump map demo in the Microsoft DX 9 SDK, it hit 84C in a 35C room.

Apparently it's not a problem running it this hot either, straight from BFG tech.

75°C room? don't you mean 75°F? 75°C would be f***ing hot!

I think thats a good score , though you might still be able to get a higher CPU score than that .

i have a P4:3.0@3.2Ghz & i get around 9,344 CPU score & 9,540 on my P3:3.4Ghz .

Asus P4P 800 Delux , P4 3.0 @ 3.50MHz .

I dun think u wanna downclock your p4 3ghz to 3.5 mhz ;)

Yup those temps are normal are not a danger. Unless you breach 110, you have nothing to worry about.

Well if my A/C is off & my 5950 o/ced to 520/1020 .. the temps get to 90s sometimes . yet everything stable .

but now i downclocked a bit (500/1000) & used a specturm fan card to blow some air into the 5950 . now i'm getting 70s as you see :)

Bob:

I've posted this before but what the hell.

If you really want to see how hot your GT is running download the rthdribl tool here--> http://www.daionet.gr.jp/~masa/rthdribl/

Open your temp display, then run the tool in windowed mode. My guess is you will see at least 72-80c. You need to look at the temp display in real time, because the GPU temp drops very quickly as soon as the 3D application ends.

If you want to compare 3dmark03 to my Ultra (@default clock) click below.

Glad you got your GT, and have fun!!
