... well the title says it all really!

If I have to spend £40 buying a SilentX 250w PSU then the financial balance might tip back to an X800Pro.

If anyone is running a 6800GT (or better) off a Shuttle 200w PSU, I'd love to hear from you... is it stable, and what temps are you seeing, etc etc

Cheers!

Well, no news is... no news :(

Luckily, someone at Beyond3D is trying a GT in his shuttle :)
If you're interested - the thread is at http://www.beyond3d.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=13669 ... the bottom of page 2 is the good news for me <fingers crossed>

Dont feel bad as you're not the only one. I have a SN45G with a 200W supply as well and would like to know the answer as well. I checked the sudhian.com forums as well and no answer there either. I'm still getting the 6800GT and if i have to get a 250W then so be it as I'm planning on maxing out my Shuttle box.

Well GT should i would guess , if ya lucky and got quality PSU , some reviewers got Ultra running in Shuttle box ! so it might not be so hard GT eats less power but don't try overcloaking.

Hey, that name looks familiar :)

Yep, should have my 6800GT tomorrow. I'll make sure to post here as well with my results.

So far, so good! Just ran RTHDRIBL for about 10 minutes, then ran RTHDRIBL + Prime95 for another 10, and no problems. Voltages stayed steady the whole time:
12V@11.9
5V@4.99
3.V@3.32

Downloading 3dmark03 right now, I'll let that loop for a couple hours.

Just ran a bench of farcry at 1280x1024 with everything maxed (I think I had some AA and AF on as well)and ran Prime95 at the same time. FPS avg of 35. 3DMark03 score of 10378. Everything looks good to me.

My system is only a 2.0GHz (166x12) XP with 1GB RAM, so I'm pretty damn impressed with the scores so far.
