buying 6800 gt

hi all,

a friend of mine is going to LA and he said he would buy me a Geforce 6800 gt from there and bring it back to Australia. He told me what brand to buy and where to get it from. I said the BFG 6800 GT OC but i didnt know what store, so can any of you tell me a store where they have BFG 6800 gts in stock. Can it even work over here if it is imported from the states?

With retail stores in the US (Best Buy, PC Club and Fry's Electronics) availability is spotty at best. Most likely your friend will be going on a wild goose chase.

its still hard to find the 6800gt in the stores. when your friend gets to la, order from comp-u-plus and they will get to your friend in about a week .. then take it back to australia

Yeah, it will work for you no problem. Fry's may be your best retail bet to find an in-stock GT. Good luck!
