What are some good benchmarks i could use to benchmark my 6800GT when it comes Friday??? I'm looking for just a little bit of anything and everything.

I already have the usual 3Dmark01, 3Dmark03, and Aquamark.

I also have the benchemall utility to which i'm going to use namely on Far Cry and some others.

I'm just looking for benchmarks, demos, utilities, whatever you guys can throw at me!!

I'll be sure and post results here too.

Thanks!!

I have Far Cry, UT2004, Halo, Splinter Cell, and alot of others.

I'm anxious to see if my frame rates approve alot in Morrowind even though its heavily CPU dependent. Morrowind is the primary game i play.

I think you'll be very pleased with Morrowind's performance on your 6800 GT :)

Holy crap!!! Those scores blow my OC'd 5900XT out of the water!! lol

I sure am glad my XFX 6800GT will be here tommorrow :). I can't wait to play Morrowind with those smooth as butta frame rates.

I'm a long time member over at the Elder Scrolls forums. I wonder if any of them have gotten a 6800GT or 6800u yet. I can't wait to post my benchmark results over there in the forums hehe.

Morrowind is hosed in 61.71. It's slower than my 9800 Pro :( A lot of hitching and stuttering, and FPS never goes above 30!

OMG! Your Jokeing!!

What driver set should i use then? I just got done installing 61.71 today so i would be ready for my 6800GT tommorrow. Should i try something else?

MikeC already beat me to it but I will tell you that your Morrowind experience will improve once you get the card in! ;)

I used 61.71 drivers, initially, and it performed well. I also used the 61.45 drivers and they performed equally well. I was using DX9.0b. I am updating to XP SP2 with DX9.0C and have not had the chance to run MW...yet. :D

Well i sure the heck hope it improves to what it is on my 5900XT. I'm using the WHQL 56.72 drivers from nVidia and they are horrible in Morrowind.

When i leave an interior cell to go to an exterior cell and the screen goes black, it just stays that way for like 10 sec.!! It doesn't do it every time but it does it the majority of the time. Its really annoying. The exterior cell loads instantly but the screen just stays black.

I also get quite a few screen pauses when i'm running along in exterior cells. Every little bit it will just hang for 1 sec then start moving again.

The performance is decent on my 5900XT but i'm hopeing for ALOT better on my new 6800GT :).

I experienced pauses when loading next area with the 9800P,9600XT,9500P, 5950U, 5900U, and 5700U. No stuttering since the 8500. I get slight pauses between loading areas with the 6800GT but not as noticeable due to the rendering speed. I don't think that will ever be remedied in Morrowind...kinda like the shadows problem although I have not tested for that yet.

Whats the best way to benchmark Morrowind?

Do you guys just use FRAPS and test in-game? I guess there isn't any other way of doing it is there?

MikeC did a test scenerio a while back on how he did it. Would be good to try just for comparison. Yes, Fraps is it.

I probably will try include a little Seyda Neen run thru (if it does not get edited out) in the up-coming eVGA 6800GT review since there are two of us who still play MW. :D

Whats the best driver set to use for Morrowind? The WHQL 61.36's?

BTW, when did nVidia release a WHQL version? I thought they were all still beta.

I have read of someone having problems with the 61.71's in MW. 61.71's performed well for me with a 5700U. Both the 61.36's and 61.45's have performed well. There should be a new WHQL driver coming out before long.

But why are they calling the 61.36's WHQL? I thought there wasn't a WHQL available.

I think the 61.36s are WHQL canidates. However, one of the BFG guys dropped the 61.75s as the next WHQL driver.

Well HardOCP has been using the 61.34's because they say those are WHQL candidates. Who is right? lol

All I can say is "When the hell is Nvidia going to release some official WHQL drivers?"
