I hear that .13 processors are going to be cheaper. But since their yield is low, it would not amount to much, which is my pure speculation.
Personally I believe that R350 will be the end of the road for ATI with their .15 process. R300 has a lot of potential, yet the limitations posed by the .15 chip such as heat and size make tapping into the potential rather difficult.
Although it is true that ATI will have its own headaches designing the .13 chip, it should not have to deal with delays as what happened with NV30 seems to be due to the .13 process taking time to be matured, nothing to do with NVidia's design.
I also think that NVidia should take advantage of their .13 chip design like what ATI is doing with their R300. I just think .13 chip can be more applicable and flexible than .15 chip.
