I just bought a BFG5900XToc to replace my ti4400 card. I had oc'd and BIOS modded the ti4400.
I wasn't all that impressed with the upgrade and considered returning the card. I flashed with the Chaintech BIOS and it's a different story. As I play on a projector at 1024x768, the 8xAA and 8xAnsio are very important. Had them both on and the settings in IL2-AEP maxed. Not even a stutter. This is the best $150 I've spent this year.

Did you use a modded bios or just another standard XT bios? One of our members, Jimmor, has a very good tutorial on 5900XT bios modding here on this forum. You might like to check it out sometime.

I used a modded Chaintech BIOS that I found at Guru3D. It was a latency, voltage, and clock speed all in one. My speeds are now 480/851 and rock stable. I'm still kickin' around the idea of taking this one back to Bestbuy and getting the Newegg 6800/Far Cry deal. I almost bought Far Cry today for $40 which would make my total Card/game+tax cost right at $200. What's another $90? Maybe I'll play with this for 28 days and see if there are any better deals out there then.
