I just got my eVga 6800 GT, and it came with 5cds of farcry. Installed it, patched it to 1.1, installed forceware 61.71, and running all maxed out at 1280x1024. Game runs smooth, but sometimes walls or other objects are flashing, almost like a wallhack. In single player. Havent tried mp. Havent installed directX 9c yet. Played other games, ran benchies, no problems. Is that a known issue or im unlucky?

Drivers. I get it sometimes too in certain situations. I think we all should just shelf Farcry until 9.0c RTM, and official 1.2 patch. Maybe NVIDIA will actually release drivers for the damn card on their website too. They are hiding behind "we didn't release them so don't blame us" a bit too much. The card is in retail. Post stable drivers NVIDIA.

The game doesnt recognise the 6800's well at all to make the experiance better download the r300 renderpath fix/patch(I think that is what it is. It works anyway) from here

I would download FP16. It gives a nice boost in performance and fixes any IQ issues.

thanks guys for your reply. I downloaded that file but i still have the same problem. what is fp16?

the 16 bit version. If you go back to the site you'll see 2 versions of the file. one saying 16fp at the end the other saying 32fp.

Is there any advantage to the 32 over the 16 as far as quality? I know it has been mentioned that 16 is faster.

The only noticeable IQ difference is in the specular, it's slightly brighter in FP32 mode.
