I'm sure this question was posed before but I can't seem to find and answer. My question is I have a 5900 right now and was wondering if it was worth picking up the 6800nu? I know the GT would be the obvious choice but $400.00 is just a liitle beyond my reach right now. Thanks for your input. :)

6800NU was an immense improvement for me over my 5900 card, AF performance increased by like 30-% In some cases, And shader increases were through the roof.

Similar AA performance, But Much better anti aliasing quality.

If you already have a 5900 I'd wait until the 6800GT drops in price. The 6800 is faster - in fact its about 15-30% faster than a 9800XT. However, you already have a pretty fast card and I think you'd be happier with the bigger performance jump (2 times+) the 6800GT would provide.

The 6800 would be a large improvement, the GT would be like doubling that large improvement.

Yep, the 6800 is a great little card, I even noticed a speed difference when I went from my 5900 to a 9700 Pro, the 6800 will feel and play a lot faster.

I agree. I just got a 6800nu. GREAT CARD! ALOT better than the FX series. Nvidia got it right this time!!
