SB Audigy 2 digital out!!!!! HElp!!!!

Im tryin to get the digital out connection on my sound blaster audigy 2 to work with my KLH reciever, for some reason thoughmy reciever dosent seem to be picking up the digital signal from my sound card , i tried both my audigy 2 and my nforce 2 digital audio outputs , the cables im using for this is a radio shack digital gold series Universal Optical Cable. Im going to go to radio shack tomorrow and tell em that the cable isint workin cause thats must be the prob, my reciever should be fine. im also going to try another Optical cable set, but if u guys have any ideas please, please post em here, cause i realy could use the advice, thx in advance...

make sure you go into the audigy control panel and tell it digital output oinly, and the frequency may need to be changed too... i can remember where, but its in to control panel, and its from 44000 to 20-something.. or vice versa

guys i have a new problem now, i have my system up and running , but when i play games such as ut2k4demo which is supposed to be able to be played in 5.1 i only get sound from my center speaker. though i though i have 5.1 before i updated my audgigy 2 nx but after the update i noticed im getting sound only from my center speaker. and the sounds that r supposed to be comming out of my left and right speakers i dont hear.
