I was just noticing, That my card seems to do 325/885 rock stable, (I wonder whats preventing me from hitting 900) I imagine its 2.2ns Memory that just doesnt recieve enough voltage to hit 900.

Either the memory Overclock seems to be yielding very respectable gains. Even going from 850/885 I get a 7 FPS increase in 2001SE, And most of my games are showing 4-5 FPS increases with Anti Aliasing.

Makes me wonder why they just didnt sell these cards @ 325/850 in the first place.

Looking at other people. They seem to get similar results with OCing memory. Not bad though 885 memory is like 28 gigs of bandwith.

Yarr, mine can't even hit 800. Could be a 300-watt PSU thing, though. Do you think a new 480 watt would make a difference?

If you go for a new powersupply, I can recommend the Nexus NX-400W powersupply. Its extremly quiet and very high quality. More information here: http://www.nexustek.nl/nx4000.htm

Do you guys do any VGA BIOS modding? Jimmor and I have done quite a bit of testing on our FX 5900's and have found ways to make them faster by decreasing memory latencies in the BIOS. I know for a fact that this can be done for the 6800 as well. Perhaps someone can provide me one that I may inspect?

Thanks, I'll contact you on MSN regarding a Bios, Of course, you must do my will first :)

And I'd make a small request of you! :nana:

Added you to MSN but ya dont seem to be there.

I really wanna find a bios that enables 16 pipelines, and one that can set it back. I'm dying to know if this card can be soft modded. heh

I have never heard of memory blowing up unless its been volt modded. Usually memory can either do a certain mhz or it cant.

Why did u back off the core? It was at like 350MHz wasnt it? About my memory not burning up....I just cant believe mine will hit 900MHz...and it was more the core at 400 that worries me. But, temps dont get above 75c or so. Card normally runs are 71c or so under load without overclock. Maybe I am worried about nothing.

Wow, Chris, do you get any big benchmark increases at 900mhz?

Chris has provided me with his Leadtek BIOS last night. I have looked into it yesterday but didn't have much time. So I will look more today.

BTW Chris, if you could, provide me the default clock speeds of that BIOS (2D/3D), as it would make it easier on me to find the speed tables within. And one more time what speeds did you wan't me to change it to? Do you want to change the default memory to 900 or do you think that is too much?

Even with my slower RAM, at 350/750, I'm the highest scorer for the 6800 standard on Futuremark's website. Beat that guys, captain equinox is on top!
(taking a screenshot before one of you publishes yours :))

Default speeds @ 325/700.

Btw guys I backed off the core for reasons of my own. atm I am doinf some tests ;p I usually prefer OCIng memory to Cores hehe.
