OK! so far there is a new option, Performance and Quility, it has 3 settings from-Application to Ballanced to Aggressive, also a Antialiasing option that goes from Off to 4xS D3D only, also has Anisotropic Filtering that goes from Off to 8x( I assume for D3D and OpenGL. Ill run some test and get back.

I didn't lose that much performance over 40.52 drivers and the flashing in UT2k3 is gone, so I will keep these. They're great.:D

OK! going from the 40.72 heres what ive found, new drivers IQ is wonderfull, the colors are deeper with more Vibrance especially the colors Red-Blue and yellow. Anisotropic set to 8x is really fast in OpenGL,BTW OpenGL is alot faster for me now, UT2003 looks much better and has a nice gain in FPS, same for Tribes2 and Q3.The best part so far is this comes with no speed loss. So for me these are great. Off for more testing, heres what ive played so far with no problems although i havent played any of them for very long.

UT2003
UT
Q3
Tribes2
Jedi outcast
Fakk2
DS9
NFS Demo
Army Ops

eek personally i think they over did the digital vibrance. i use to have it at medium, and was happy with it, but at medium now its definately too colorful and washed out. other than its awesome. i got 11108 on 3dmark2k1 at best image quality with no af or aa. not bad considering my hd is bloated and not defraged for awhile.

Im getting 11430 3D Marks, these are the first drivers that look better and havent made me lose some FPS. This PowerColo Ti4200 with 128 ram OCs really well.

hmm they could be the final ones from the beta series and maybe they havent linked them yet cause why would they be on the nvidia servers if they were an internal build???

downloading right now...:D

Word of warning... for Saturn. :p

They're 15 megs, meaning they're more than likely real drivers (lanugage packs).

Yeah I think I am staying with these drivers. deffinetly increase in OpenGl in UT2k3, and they shure look more colorfull .

Good Job

I love these drivers!!!

Tiger Woods 2002 and the new Need for Speed HP 2 demo look great!!!

Not sure what they did with the IQ, but it works in my book!

probably adjusted the digital vibrance. drivers are pretty good. my 3dmark scores dropped a bit, but AA performance seems to be up. one of the benchmarks i use to always test drivers is dungeon siege with 4xS fsaa, and I gained 10fps with the 41.03's

The refresh rate modes have changed some what... instead of one entry for each nv chip...there is now just one entry. "NV_Modes"

This string valuse contains mode data for each nv chip...and is seporated by {chip hex id numer range}

the first entry is {*} this means ALL chips, and contains the common modes.

Because you only have 1 card, you can simply take your Modes delta string from the previous det40's and overwrite all that other data with it.

Ex:

{*}S 320x200 320x240 400x300 480x360 512x384 640x400=E0; SHV 640x480 800x600=E0; 1024x768 1152x864 1280x720 1280x768=6E0; 1280x960 1280x1024 1360x768 1600x900 1600x1024=10;SHV 1600x1200 1920x1080=C; 1920x1200=2; SHV 1920x1440=B; 2048x1536=F;

so basically all you need to do is append {*} to the begining of your string and paste over the default one.

You can find this value at:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Contro l\Video\{128bit GUID number}\0000

While the score dropped somewhat from 11940 to 11885 in 3dMark2001, I did gain a noticable 6FPS in the Nature demo. Not too shabby.

I was about to freak out when my 3DMark scores went from 11K to 6.5K with the new drivers.

For some reason, this version of the drivers reset my vsync setting under "More Direct 3D" from "always off" to "always on". One quick toggle later, and I was back to 11K.

They definitely kicked the digital vibrance up a notch with these drivers! I had it set on medium before, but I may move it down to low. I'm going to give it a couple of days to see what it does to my apps.

i moved mine down to low, it actually looks like medium from the older dets but more vibrant but not washed out

I can't remember the last time I've actually noticed a perf increase w/ updated drv's during gameplay, nV did an excellent job on this batch. As for the digital vibrance, I've always settled for 'low' so I've had no probs.

btw, jsg2021 thx for diggin' that info up on the refresh rate modes ;)

so they merged AF options between APIs now?

give me back separate controls for FSAA and AF depending on API dammit!

yup they merged af and aa for both api.
