Should handle it great

My current set up with a 5900 flashed to 5950 should play it on high settings (not max or anything) at 1024 x 768 resolution. A 6800 NU would do even better :)

6800 NU will run doom 3 fine @ 1024X768 high detail. Go for it! Also heard it oc's quite well.

proof? the pcgamer review didnt specify weather it was a 6800NU/GT/or a Ultra.
pcgamer isnt much of a hardware review, so id wait on the true video card reviewers to give us the specifics on the the hardware performance in Doom3.

How much proof could you possibly need? the 6800NU is the low end of the HIGH END cards. Anything in the high end region of video cards can run ANYTHING well, that's why they call it high end. :spank:

Fact: 6800NU is more than capable of running ANY game on the market very well.

This game has several render paths as mentioned so everyone should be able to run it:D

NV10 only Geforce 4 MX supported wonder how NV15 or NV10 will do, will they run?

NV20 for Geforce 3, and Geforce 4 TI, aka NV20, NV25, NV28

no more NV30 path, only ARB2 path for NV3x and NV4x and R3xx and R4xx

R200 path for Radeon 8500, 9000, 9100, 9200

5600/5600U/5700LE/NU owners might wanna run in R200 path, as PS1.4 type of stuff really doesn't smack the cards that much vs. PS1.1... hmmm

there will probably be reviews with benchmark numbers before the game comes out, I suggest you wait until can make sure.

well I think I'm gonna go with it. The Leadtek one I heard overclocks well; I'd like to get a gt or ultra but its just not in my budget I think. As long as I can play in 1024X768 with all options on and get at least 30 fps i'll be happy i think. wish me luck

30FPS isn't an impossible mission for NU, IMHO.
