I just procured myself a P4 3.4EE for a very good price (gonna do some CPU scaling investigation as a followup to my 6800 GT review). As a result I'm going to be selling my present 3.0C processor. This one has the full retail packaging with heatsink and fan along with a three-year warranty from Intel. It's been housed in an Intel D875 motherboard so it has never been overclocked. Perhaps in the right motherboard with the right cooling you could get 3.5 GHz, though I make no such guarantee.

However, for the price I'm selling this thing for you couldn't afford not to take the risk! ;)

Lowest price on Pricewatch for an OEM 3.0C is $200. I'm asking $175 shipped to the continental USA. For $200 shipped, I will send this processor internationally. The sale will complete upon successful receipt and installation of my new processor (which should ship today). Please PM me if you are interested.

is it an SL6WU or SL6WK? 12 capacitor or 30?

Any way I could find this out without having to actually remove the processor right now?

no, not for the capacitors. For the spec code you could check the side of the box

The motherboard is a piece of garbage, though. Not worth more than $25 so there would be no savings at all.

Uhm, no offense, but CPU is brand new, not used, there's the difference.. that's why I said mobo is freebie ;)
