I ordered a 6800GT From Evga on Wednesday and its was supposed to be here today. The delivery person came by at like 10:30 and i answered the door and he was like someone 21 years or older needs to sign for this, he said he would be back in the evening. Right now its 6:30 and after today it wont come until next monday. But guess what i leave for vacation on sunday and wont be back until friday. So I was wondering does anyone know how late UPS delivers

Sweet, can i ask what you orderd that required someone to be 21 years or older? I have never herd that. The UPS guys would try to get me to sign even when i was like 7 or something.

When I picked up my eVGA card at UPS (since I missed the delivery) they were asking some people ahead of me if they were 21 before letting them sign. They had to show them their ID before being allowed to sign it and receive it.

I work for UPS and if the package is on their truck it should be delivered. If the driver sheets package missed (no delivery attempt) than driver has a chance of having problems with keeping his/her job. I have personally delivered well past 9:00 at night, of course that is Xmas season.:-)) As far as signature goes that depends on the package. If it is liquor the recipient must be 21 years of age. High value items such as a VC the recipient must be 18. They want you to sign for it because the signature proves delivery. The UPS driver does not want to buy a $500.00 VC for someone that says: "hey I never received any stinkin' VC".:-) It might be 21 now ......it has been a while since I drove...They mostly look for someone that looks somewhat responsible.

I just called somebody at work it should be 21 years of age.

UPS and sig required is odd sometimes. THey left my $2000 Ibanez at my doorstep once, with about 8 sig required stickers on it.

Yeah, I told my Son, if the UPS guy give you a hard time, tell him, I'm going to kill him.. :) . Actually, I told him to call me on the cell phone, and I would tell him to let my Son sign, because I wanted my Ultra AT ALL COST! Needless to say the UPS guy was cool about it.

It is quite amazing sometimes though. As a UPS driver you see a lot of crazy s$%t. I remember one time when I had to deliver a "ghetto blaster" to a house. It was a signature required package. On the porch an earlier driver- driver released a computer system from Gateway on the porch, it was a next day air shipment. No one was home. I felt pretty stupid leaving a delivery notice for the $200.00 "ghetto blaster". He did'nt want to pack that computer back on his truck and deal with it again tomorrow. LOL

I ordered a new mouse a keyboard a couple months ago and UPS delivered them to my new neighbor who I had never met before. Good thing she was honest. :ORDER:

Of course I cant get USPS to drop a package off even when I’m at home. They always leave a note and make me go pick it up. :kill:
