Okay,

Now that a lot seems to have a 6800GT there must be someone running (or not) at agp x4 (spec 2.0). I ask because i have preordered and Albatron 6800GT - Two power connectors, 2 DVI.

Thanks.

i did have my gainward gt golden sample on agp 4 for about 2 hours cos i forgot to switch my mobo back to 8x after changing out my ti4200. even at agp 4 i scored over 12k in 3dmark.

I've got the older 845 I think it is motherboard. ASUS P4PE so all I have is 4xAGP. BFG 6800 GT is running fine. Far Cry runs great. Have a 2.8 overclocked to 3.06 and got a 10605 in 3Dmark2003 stock with no tweaks.

It should work just fine. The only problem with this is that if your motherboard doesn't support 8x AGP that tells me your system might be a tad bit too old to get the most out of your 6800GT.

But yes, it'll work.

Check out my sig. I'm pretty happy with 10403. Haven't tried to OC my BFG any. No reason to so far.

Well my 4X system is definitely on the low end for 3DMark 2003 at 10360. Check the sig. below. This is probably on par for this system. I'm stuck with the 533MHz bus and PC-2700 DDR-RAM

I tihnk the picture of the 6800GT on albatron's website is wrong because it shows dual dvi. If you look at the specifications of the Ultra, it says VGA Output - NO. Look at the GT, VGA Output - YES.. Since it has a vga output, this tells you that the picture is wrong. Since this is not the right picture, i seriously doubt the GT has 2 power connectors.. It is either a old pic, or a pic of a gt heatsink on an ultra. They most likely just followed reference design.

That would be a pity about the power connectors and if that is the case i may turn down the prorder. I hate being misled.

Anyway i have a P4 2.8 at 3gig with 1 gig of 1066 rdram. Old (2 years) but not too shabby for the GT
