Det 40.xx 41.xx problem

Hi all,

Recently I have tried the 40.41 to the 41.03 Dets. Everytime I run into the same problem. When flying in Falcon4 and Janes F/A-18 I get a hard system lockup. The sound wave continues but the system locks. I have no problem running the 31.40 or the 30.82. Not sure if this is driver related, or if my CPU/system doesn't have the power to run with these drivers. In all the 40.xx series DX dialouge runs all tests fine. and the UI of both games is OK. The problem is only in the 3D world. I haven't tried Ghost Recon yet.

Are you overclocking? If so, try to bump it back to the default clock frequencies. What resolution/refresh rate are you trying to run? Perhaps changing those might help somewhat. And did you uninstall the old drivers before installing the new ones? I don't have those games, so I can't help you out on that account...

No overclocking

1024X768 @ 72Hz

Used the Manage>Device Manager>path to uninstall the Video card Reboot and installed the 41.03's

Ghost Recon, Il-2 and MS FS2002 run fine with no problems. JF-18 and Falcon 4 Hard Lock. No problem with the 30.82 drivers. I'm starting to suspect the culprit might be my SB Live! soundcard+VIA chipset.
