I have a small group of friends that was getting together on an MSN Groups site. (We all played the same On-line game... sort of a guild... but not really)

Well... somehow the site got deleted and we're looking for a new home instead of making another MSN Groups site, because most of us hate MSN Groups due to the fact you have to use IE to use all the better features.

I looked at Yahoo Groups (Made one up real quick), but it's bland in comparison to MSN Groups and it's message board really sucks (I thought MSN Groups was bad... LOL). Google Groups are in Beta, and so far all it is, is a very non-robust message board. (Even worse than Yahoo's)

So basically... I'm looking for something exactly like MSN Groups (Message board, chatroom, photo area, private, etc. and real quick and easy to maintain), that doesn't need IE for the better features, and hopefully is a little more customizeable.

I don't care if it's pay only (if it's reasonably priced)... but it needs to be better then MSN Groups if I gotta pay for it.

And no... I don't want to get into buying a host site (Like Geocities), uploading a bunch of my own html and scripts, buying message board software, buying chat room stuff, etc. etc. etc. (basically Building my own site from scratch)

This group isn't that big and doesn't warrant that type of investment of time and money. Heh.

Any suggestions are appreciated.

Thanks,

Taz

hey, Im gonna make a suggestion that may seem wild and off the wall.

But, rent a Teamspeak, or Ventrilo server!

I joined a clan who dose everything in Teamspeak and wow it is such a diffrent exprince.

However, about the fourm stuff i dont know. Just consider it : )

Some of us planned on using Ventrilo or something for EQ 2.

But I'm basically looking for a pre-built website like MSN Groups, that doesn't require a script guru to run it, yet has all the basic features.

Thanks for the reply.
