Hi, just wanting some advice. I just won an opportunity to buy an EVGA 6800 Ultra EE. Problem is that I already have an EVGA 6800 GT. I'm debating on whether or not to step up or not. EVGA's got the step up program so it'd only be another $150 + shipping. But my system's already bottlenecking my GT.

My system currently is an athlon 2600+ 1 gb ddr2700 blah blah blah. But I'm also planning to upgrade to an athlon 64 3200 system at the beginning of August. Eh...thoughts on if it would be worth it?

I'd go for it. There are alot of people waiting for an e-mail saying that they get to buy the EVGA 6800U EE...oh course, you can get a BFG 6800U OC and crank it to 450/1.25 easy, so its up to you!

You can sell the EE on ebay if you don't want it.

Yeah, you can use the step up program, you just have to actually talk to the people instead of just going through the site. And one more variable in to the mix...I can already get my GT up to 440/1220 stable =\

You could sell it to one of the people who wants it on this forum.

Or sell your GT.

lol, I signed up for the EE draw at eVGA, even though I'm no where near spending 540$+shipping US for a new vid card. so it'll be a real decision making time for me if I happen to win. in the mean time, hey, get it and Congrats!

I'd say go for it too,

If you don't like it I am sure you can gain back the cash on E-bay. The EE is hardly common.
