I'm not sure what's going on here. I used to have a Geforce 3, and it worked much better then this card.

My system isn't the best:

ASUS CUSL2 Motherboard
815E Chipset
P3 1Ghz
256 RAM
120 GB HDD
350 Watt PSU

The card is a 128 MB ATI Radeon 9600 Pro Atlantis.

My problem is, during gameplay, the screen constantly stutters and tears. I look ahead, move left and right, and the screen kind of moves along with it. It's really annoying. I tried it with/without the mouse filter being enabled, and I still get the same result, so it's not that.

Is it just that this card on my system isn't going to work with CS or what? I tried close to everything. I tried quite a few drivers, old ones, and new ones. I'm now using Catalyst 3.6 drivers, and i'm getting the same result. What should my settings look like? I tried close to everything. All suggestions would help a great deal.

Thanks.

Honestly I would go back to the GF3.

Why do you say that? I thought the 9600 Pro was better?

Well you said it was working better on the GF3 and it was not working as well on the 9600p then it would stand to reason that the GF3 was the better card for what you wanted it to do. Which card is actually has better performance doesn't matter. It only matters that the card performs well for what you want it to do.:)

Enable vsync in the OpenGL and Direct3D driver control panel. The Radeon 9600 pro is a little faster than a Geforce 4 Ti 4200.

How can I completley uninstall old drivers? Every time I uninstall old drivers, I try and restart to install new ones, but it already detects the old ones, and automatically installs them. I tried deleting INF files in the System32 folder, but it still does the same thing. I also noticed when I looked in Device Manager, that it has my AGP card listed under (PCI). There's also a secondary version of the card listed under display adapters. The secondary is also detected everytime I try to uninstall old drivers and restart. What's going on here?
