AS on BFG 6800 GT

Does the BFG use AS on the HS? Would it benefit to put this on?

All reports indicate that they do, but the difference in temperature is variable it seems. My answer would be not to mess with it since you have the BFG already and its apparently on it, but for any other brand, it couldn't hurt to try since its easy to remove the heatsink and fan system on these.
