These appear to be the only drivers other than the 61.80's that don't crash me in open gl. Don't have time to see if there is any performance drop or gain since I have to get to work now though.

i'd try these but i gotta get goin...i downloaded them, but dont have time right now....when I get home tonight im sure everyone will have already reported what kind of performance these give...so i'll save myself the trouble of uninstalling and see what everyone says about them.

So far the 61.71 drivers have worked flawlessly with SM3.0 Far Cry, CoD, and UT2004.

Ok, I was limited on time but did get to run my custom research demo to see if there was an improvement in SM30 Far Cry over the 61.71 (and 61.76 since they perform the same).

61.71
Avg: 43.365 - Min: 29 - Max: 76

62.20
Avg: 47.418 - Min: 32 - Max: 75

This might not seem like much but it runs a lot smoother overall. The time demo runs through the outside bits of the research map and does not represent performance thru the cave.

wEEt you might want to give these a try.

Do you have to edit these to get sm3.0?

What about overall speed? Do these drivers give any speed increase in other games or benches?

I have killed a few on my work, in the time we had a bad NTOS system running and some apps hung.

Far Cry just crashed... Something is seriously wrong with this driver. I am going to uninstall these, put back 61.76, then try to update with device manager. Maybe that'll fix it.

updating didn't solve anything. guess i'll go back to 61.76 forceware/3dstereo combo. they work real nice together in Call of Duty.

These are the best yet for me! Higher 3Dmark. No pop-up bug in FarCry that i kept getting with SM3.0 on 61.76, and overall stability. Prince of Persia Sands of Time ran flawlessly too on highest detail settings with 4xAA 8xAF!

Yeah they worked pretty good other than the multiple explorer and game crashes  I have nvidia desktop manager and 62.20 do not work with it on my system.

These are working fine here. Don't really notice much of a difference over the 61.76s though. I guess I'll keep using them just to avoid having to switch back.

so is sm3.0 alreay in this beta or is the .inf modification still needed?
