Well since we've still got over two more weeks until the next GP I'll continue the arguement. My point is simple, I think that almost any other driver out there could have achieved the same results Rubinho has in his time @ Ferrari. How many wins does he have - six, seven? Ralf, Trulli, Fisichella, Coulthard, Mika Salo (proven when he outran Irvine more than once in his short stint @ the Scuderia) could have achieved similar or better results. And notice that I don't even include any of the new hot shots like J.P., Kimi, Webber, or Alonso.
My point being is that there's nothing special about a driver who averages one win a year in a Ferrari.

On the contrary, the only driver in recent history I can think of that could play the role of 2nd with as much grace as Ruebens has is Jean Alesi.

Eddie Irvine proved he was incapable of being Michaels right hand man. He spent his tenure at Ferrari fighting his engineers and just generally mopping about because Michaels championship came first.

I think there is quite a bit special about Ruebens. People seem to forget about the word "Team" in motor racing.

Besides, you seem to be forgetting that Ruebens has a contract that basically outlines his duties as the teams #2. You didn't really see Coulthard racing Hakkinen when Mika was winning world championships, did you?

Wow, me and you have very different views/opinions on this. There's no point in me arguing as there is no "facts" here, just our viewpoints.

You're just speculating on Barichello's contract because none of us have seen it. We don't know the exact stipulations, but I do know that he could be given all the priority in the universe and he wouldn't have won 11/12 races this year. Actually the instructions for Mika and David were that whoever was ahead after the first corner had priority for that race. Of course, three out of four times it was Mika. So basically Coulthard couldn't race Mika because he couldn't outqualify him....and everyone was on equal fuel loads during qualifying back then. Once either driver was eliminated from the championship, the other had priority for the remainder of the season.
