Arrived this morning.

Anyway installed it, fresh 61.76 drivers.

I can overclock it to 408/1.03... Past this Nvidias 'Test Changes' button says its not passed the tests.

Ive seen people go further with the XFX GT's than this? Do I need to overclock it a different way <rivatuner, <which I dont like that much>>?

Hopefully my XFX Ultra will arrive soon (as the GT will be demoted into my 2nd rig)

Thanks in advance

Nige

You could try RivaTuner, but like overclocking anything, results are not guaranteed. You might have gotten unlucky.

disable fast writes in riva tuner. It should allow for higher overclocks.

I can clock my XFX GT to 420 core and 1.15 mem using coolbits, this enables my 3d mark to go from 11250 to 12250 - 500. I have obviously pressed the test changes button and this says all is ok. I have only set it this high for testing though, I normally run it at 400 1.1 as I have no special cooling stuff. I haven't even tried pushing it any more, you never know I might be able to get some more out of it.

After a bit more testing on my XFX, its worse.

387/1.07 and some artifacts in the nature 3dMark03.

mmm. bummer.. could be a 'luck of the draw' not very good overclockable card I suppose?
