Whats the easiest way to check for artifacts? Right now I have my card clocked at 410/1100 and everything looks fine.

Run AM3 and watch for artifacts or sprites.
Then play your games and if you notice any abnormalities, back off you timings.

Ran rthdribl and 3dmark03 and didnt notice any artifacts. My Max temp after both was 78*C. Whats the highest temp I would want to push the core?

The core is fine up to 100c. Over that and it will most likely throttle back. After you've added the coolbits2 registry and right click desktop/ Digital or analog display.......once you see the nvidia screen on the left, click the temperature settings and there will be a listing for core threshold. 78c is normal under load. Some ppl report in the high 80's and even 90's and the board makers are saying thats fine. You can buy something like the vantec dual fan pci card and place it under the vid card(with at least an open slot below the fan card and NO warm producing card...ie sound card...directly under the fan card). So if you have the standard amount of pci slots, you can put this fan card under the vid card and if you DO have a sound card and no other pci devices, place the sound card at the very bottom pci slot so the fan card can get as much air as possible without drawing warm air off the sound card.

The vantec dual fan pci card blows air directly on the vid card, unlike many types of pci slot fans that expel air out of the case(which wouldnt do you any good here)

If you would like to buy one go here:

Also, if you didnt know, you must TEST the overclocks in the nvidia clock frequencies section in 2D as well as 3D and usually have to do it in 2D first in order for the new clocks to STICK upon rebooting.

yea I have a window fan blowing directly on the card and the sound card is far away. Whats stock for 6800U speeds?

Stock for Ultra reference is 400/1100, BUT most board makers are shipping their ultras with 425 as the default core clock.

As far as my ultra, I can clock it to 454/1280
