No more Ubisoft partnership it seems and no Far Cry sequal atleast from Crytek. I wonder who owns Far Cry, Ubisoft may attemp a sequal if they own the source. I hope you had your fill. :)

Now what will this have on Patch 1.2 revised and patch 1.3? Meaning SM3 support may have just evaporated :(.

I don't see anywhere it says that Crytek won't be making anymore Far Cry games, just that now it will also be developing franchise for EA Games. Its not like EA bought Crytec or something ;)

German developer foregoes a Far Cry sequel for Ubisoft to forge a "strategic partnership" with the world's biggest third-party publisher.

Kind of sounds like it but you may be right although most companies that go into partnerships dont allow there partner to develope games for another company/competitor.

Ahhh geeze. That sucks. I HATE EA games because they pretty much never have any blood. Look at the MoH games... all of that war and no blood :(. Worst news ever.

Yeah ok, i guess I oversaw that :(

But still, we cannot be 100% sure of Crytek not making a sequel for Far Cry for Ubisoft. But I think that we can be pretty much 100% sure that they will keep developing patches for Far Cry :)

Yeah I always thought that was strange but the blood patches work great as if they were coded in the game. And the new MOH features blood. :nanahump:

Are you sure thats a partnership with all three company's? Valve and Vivendi/Sierra I think had a deal with them involving HL2 before Activision came into the picture and signed a exclusive deal. Wouldnt that be something HL2 and DOOM3 having the same publisher? But Half Life 2 will not be published by Activsion and I doubt many more games from Valve will involve Vivendi.

I hope FC rights stay with Activision. Otherwise, we might see the art of supermilking by EA: Far Cry 2004, Far Cry 2005 etc.
