I put patch 1.2 back on Far Cry to toy with the HDR settings. Try messing with this one in particular r_HDRBrightOffset = "6.000000". I lowered it and got back some of the nicer glares I prefer. There are two others near it you can adjust if you wish. From their names it will be obvious what they do.
I copied and saved the orginal values on a note pad so all I have to do is cut the ones in my cfg I have adjusted and paste those back when I am done dinking around.
Of course remember to use the \r_SM30PATH 1 command when you start up and play.
