The new official 61.77 driver is on the nvidia website that fully supports directx 9.0c. It has a link to the directx 9.0c redistributal on their website, is the redistributal the official release or just for developers?

So should I download the redistributal for these drivers? This will only give me direct x 9.0c if I do it right?

of course you should get the redist of dx9c...

When is the end-user runtime direct x 9.0c coming out? Its still not on windows update.

doh, it was end-user... the linked file will give u no different dx9.0c than the one u call "end-user"... U can even do a binary check.

Do these drivers with dx9.0c still have the Joint Ops fog/sky bug, if so , Im not sure if I want to update just yet?

Edit* Well I installed directx 9.0c without any problems. Thanks dudes. Version number is 4.09.0000.0904.

So are these just essentially the 61.76 drivers but with DX9c and SM3 support enabled? I've got a FX5600 and a GF4MX both running 61.76; should I even bother upgrading their drivers?

they are a full mb larger, so i think it may be more than the .inf hack.

finally..now crytek has no excuse to hold off on the 1.3 patch with fp32/HDR, and hopefully some developers can show us sm3.0 isnt all hype like ati'ers claim.

Not that I believe it matters. But these do not seem to be WHQL certified.

Nope, doesn't matter. WHQL means NVIDIA paid Microsoft to test them.

I can confirm now that these drivers on FX video cards still have the JointOps Sky line/ fog table bug even with direct x 9.0c. This is STILL the only thing keeping me from using the forceware 60 drivers. Bummer, I certainly hope nvidia fixes this soon.

So why is this driver 1MB bigger than the last? Anyone got an idea?

According to the website they are both 12mb. I dont know why you think its 1mb bigger?

What problems? I just completed testing between these and the hacked 61.76 drivers, there are NO differences in performance or IQ. Ill be posting some charts up and an IQ shot in the benchmarking forum soon.

Whoops. I was just going off what someone said in a post above. I guess I should check for myself before opening my mouth. Not that I've still checked! ;)

I hear the Joint Ops bug is not Nvidia Driver related and its the Developers fault. Its only something I heard though so take it with a grain of salt.

I finished the charts for 61.76 Vs. 61.77 for Far Cry, Heres a link: http://www.nvnews.net/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=33192

With 61.77 will SM3.0 be enabled without having to run FarCry in DEVMODE now (so we don't have to have SM3.0 Beta in yellow text on the screen during the game)? :)

You can always use this file to replace the same file in the .zip to get rid of the yellow text on the screen.
