Hey TDK VeloCD Owners!!

I have a 24x10x40 VeloCD using the ver. 4.5 software, which includes nero 5.5. This whole setup, while it works alright, does not seem to like Winamp 2.73 (i know, it's old, I'm updating it soon)... Once the TDK software is installed, I can't play mp3's thru winamp if I've already run TDK Digital Mixmaster... It's frustrating, very frustrating. Yesterday this snafu caused my directsound files to puke on themselves, and I had to do a lot of uninstalling/reinstalling to get sound out of my system. Yes, I've screwed with file associations, the TDK drive is master of it's own IDE channel, and both it and my LG dvd drive have DMA enabled.

Anybody else have problems like these?

...the TDK software won't run with the 5.5.9 nero update, either...

Should I just ditch the TDK software (it did get good reviews), and just use Nero Standalone, Winamp Standalone, and CloneCD standalone?

In case it matters, my SBLive is not hooked up right now; I'm using my Avance AC97 CODEC.

Try setting winamp to use waveout instead of directsound.

try updating to the latest winamp versions. Either 2.81 or maybe one of the 3.x version.

No problems with my velocd and winamp2.81 and nero 5 here

I've been running since 5.5 without the problem you described, but yes I have Nero 5.9.9 or whatever it is
