I tweaked my cousins radeon 32mb ddr using radeon tweaker and installed the latest ATI catalyst drivers. also i installed the half-life ati-fix patch. anyways he said hes computer started slowing down after not being used for an hour and also after playing a game. he said it started after 2 days.

anyways i found a file named kernel32.dli on his windows directory which i believe is a virus. Is that the virus thats causing his computer to slow down?

Is there any other reason thats causing this problem?
His just had the computer reformated a month ago because my cousin did something to it. So now, his dad is kinda blaming me.
i wish i never touched his comp.

Try a free virus scanner like AVG. http://www.grisoft.com

I know that feeling. My policy now is to only do what's absolutely necessary on other peoples machines. They want an app installed that's all I do I don't do any tweaking of any sort. That and I will not even touch another persons machine unless I'm getting payed.

I had him do a virus scan using PC-Cillin and all the free virus from trend micro's website, both found nothing. But he did the scans after i told him to delete the kernel32.dli file.

Kernel32.dli appears to be a pretty nasty trojan that disables a lot of virus scanners.

You might have to reformat again...
