Hey

My speakers right now are really, really really crappy and i have a stereo which i would like to use but it doesn't have the red and white port at the back, the only available jack, is the headphone jack, is there anyway i could use that to connect it to my computer, ive been at it for a week now

1/8" male to stereo RCA male. Anyone at Radio Shack could have told you that.

No he says it doesn't have the stereo RCA female plugs on the back of his stereo. Unfortunately, unless your stereo has some other form of input (headphone socket won't work coz thats output obviously) then its not gonna happen.

you could always splice the output from your computer directly to the speakers.

Oh, oops.

^That could work if the ohms and everything all work out... Radio Shack sells a 1/8" male to a positive and negative terminal that you could solder the speaker cables to.

if i were to do that, (which i probably don't) i would only get the speakers and not the actual stereo, but a good idea
