I haven't got doom yet, UPS is bringing it today, but I have tried 3dmark 01 and halo time demo with the drivers and they improve.

With 4.7 I was getting like 24100 in 01 but now am getting 245xx.

In halo was getting 73 fps but now am getting 82.2fps.

Anyone else have increases?

So you are saying you have a minimum fps of 60 in Ultra Quality?

What about for a 9800 Pro? Any increase in performance?

heh no way, on hardocp with an athlon fx53 and an ati x800xtpe the minimum at 1600x1200 at high quality with noAA/8xAF was 25fps.

the 4.9's don't seem to boost my frame-rates... honestly speaking... but they do seem to smooth the game out (hence mins are likely higher)

overall with benches it doesn't appear to be a big increase... I found the best "tweak" was to reduce the interval so i would not have any more tearing when the fps dipped...

How do you mean reduce the interval?

I have it at home... its probably listed in the console commands but I haven't checked...

I'll post in about an hour when I get back home.. am in round rock @ the moment...

basically i was experiencing a little tearing @ default settings and changing this console command made the tearing practically non-existent except in extreme situations where my mins would drop...

You talking about the console command r_swapinterval? That's the vsync on/off command.
