e.g. when try to overclock in the nvidia driver (coolbits enabled)
and the driver says - no that does not work
then i for example back at 60 hz instead of my normaly used 85 Hz

it also happens when changing monitor profiles (monitor also get mixed then from time to time (see my other thread about that).

Is this in OGL? I seem to remember something about that, but it's been a coupla years ago, and was telling someone about fixing it. I'm not sure the registry keys are the same though...but had some blurb on it.

Make shure you are not going into Msconfig, and unchecking (nwiz and NvCpl) they have to be checked for the settings to stay.
NvMcTray is just for the try icon .

typically in msconfig everything is checked except you are in troubleshooting mode - but i will doublecheck in the evening when i am at home at my pc again.

I get the same thing, I just go change the refresh rate back to 85, no big deal.
