Any new resolution features, as in could they fix the bug in my sig?

Install your monitor driver, and add it as a custom resolution in the nVidia control panel.

DriverVer = 07/20/2004,

thank dell

u need to modify the .inf for all cards

Try this INF (I mod INFs for the masses). http://www.laptopvideo2go.com/infs/6177inf/nv4_disp.inf
It's for 61.77, if you need another driver then see my sig for link.
All my INFs support 1360x768 and 1366x768 plus many others that nVidia don't normally support but TV's and LCD's do, I assume you have a wide screen TV that needs the resolution.

You mentioned 1368x768 is this the right resolution, I have seen TV's with 1366x768, if it is give me a yell and I'll add that resolution to future INFs.

[Update, just saw link above for 65.62 hope to have a modded INF for this in a few hours]

Thx

OMG detail please beofore I try it!!

These are the best drivers ever for my system. They fixed a major issue I was having with Direct3D, in which games would crash at "High Performance" with Anisotropic set to 2x/4x/8x. There are also some new added optimizations (that can be switched On or Off) and of course some bug fixes. Just a great driver all around. :)

You guys with 6800's need to modify the .inf before you install, as I did. Here's how its done.

Open NVDW.inf with notepad, and you have to add the lines for your card under the proper section. I have highlighted the 6800 GT for example. After you have added the 2 lines to the .inf, you may run the setup.exe

I have uploaded the modified INF for anybody too scared to modify INFs.
You will need to remove the original NVDM.INF and replace with my nv4_disp.inf (see sig).

All nViida GPU's known to man are supported.
Don't run setup.exe best to uninstall driver then use either the found new hardware or Update driver method, point to where driver with INF is located.
These are a new series driver, slightly different inappearance (better).

... Doom 3

08-10-04, 05:47 AM
Hmmm I am surprised Forceware 65.62 leaked early so that will be excellent news to JGene and he must be very happy guy now. :D

08-10-04, 07:30 AM
getting VERY bad artifacts in Mother Nature on 3D Mark 03, shame as the new features look very cool.

I'll be rolling back to 61.77 until something official comes out I think.

the 6800 series was left out of the .inf file for good reason it seems.

08-10-04, 08:21 AM
These seem to work well for me but I haven't tried everything yet. I did try 3DMark03 and a few games and they were fine so far.

A couple of interesting things I noticed, one, it made me uninstall the previous drivers and in the past only the quadro drivers did that (so that has me a little concerned). Two, the advanced options show more things. The anisotropic optimization is two choices now: mip filter and sample. Oh, I guess there are three things. The layout has changed some as noted earlier (with the profiles and with the right-click on the desktop, the display choice is now a menu instead of just saying nvidia analog display). All this was before installing any version of coolbits.

08-10-04, 08:23 AM
Perhaps a sticky is now in order?

Also to mobilenvidia: first of all, thanks for your work on modding these drivers for our laptop users. Though I don't have mine any more, I know I would have used your .inf files on my old Dell Inspiron with the GF4 440 Go. I have a suggestion for your site. On the .inf file download page, could you perhpas reverse the order of the files so the newest is on top? Since you have so many files now it seems more logical to do it this way. :)

08-10-04, 08:27 AM
yup - these were intended for the quadro series of cards.

dont trust them on my nice new 6800GT - rolling back.

08-10-04, 09:16 AM
Just ran 3dmark'03 demo, and got 115 FPS on Nature. Zero artifiacts. I'm very impressed.

Sorry if these didn't work out for you :(

in device manager - what date does it show for these drivers on your systems guys????

im gettings 17.7.04 - which is not right............., I used driver cleaner and installed via device manager?? - should I have used the setup file instead.

08-10-04, 09:21 AM
7/20/2004. Get the drivers from Dell, mod the .inf, and update using device manager.

7/20/2004. Get the drivers from Dell, mod the .inf, and update using device manager.

I downloaded the files from Guru3D which says its comes with the modded .inf - must have done or it would'nt have installed???

I shall have a play around when I get home and try all tests again, once I've got the date sorted.

p.s - Guru3D clain the file date for this set is 26/7/04 - which makes both of us wrong???????

anyone care to shead some light on this.
