I get around 60c idle and 70c+ at load.

Seems hot, been wondering if a pci/slot vga cooler would help

Wow I didn't know Gainward's Copper cooler w/ dual fans was so much more effective than the reference cooler. Then again I do also have a 120mm case intake blowing right at the video card too, so maybe that helps. Either way Gainward's cooler still sounds like a dang Harrier Jet taking off :retard:

6800GT

idle 60C
normal gaming seems to float around 70 and 80's
Full 100% load using that rtdbldl (spelling?) demo - 90C
OCing to 410 doesn't really seem to change temps..

room temp is about 26C

I talked to BFG tech support, and asked him if 90C was okay.. and he said yea thats fine...

Actually, recient tests show the reference cooler to be more effective. 5c cooler with the reference design.

You probably play a game and then quit and check temps , temp drop in a second , you must run this demo in window and have temp monitor open to realy see how hot it gets ( run it for some 10 20 minutes) http://www.daionet.gr.jp/~masa/rthdribl/

I'm running the demo software in a window without changing any options from the ones set in the original zip.
I'm using the Forceware control panel to measure temps at the same time as the demo is running.
